VAN DRIVER DIES IN CO DONEGAL CRASH

first_imgUPDATED: Gardaí in Ballyshannon have confirmed that a man has died and one person been injured in a road traffic accident.They say they are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Brenter (N56), Dunkineely at approximately 10.45pm last night.“A van and a car were in collision at the above location resulting in the death of the 30 year old male driver of the van,” said a garda spokesman. “The 21 year old male driver of the car was injured.“The deceased was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place today.“The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.”Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071-9858530, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
